Lowcountry Language Academy Summer Spanish Camps are language-enrichment programs that provide immersive Spanish instruction through themed, hands-on educational experiences.

Spanish Summer Camp Schedule & Optional Enrichment Sessions

Half-Day Instructional Session

9:00 AM – 12:45 PM

Optional enrichment sessions may be available:

• Early enrichment option beginning at 8:30 AM
• Afternoon enrichment session available until 4:00 PM

Extended sessions continue structured, language-based activities aligned with our educational program.

Ages 3–11 Years Old

Our summer enrichment camps are designed for children ages 3–11.

For our youngest campers, enrolling in multiple weeks is encouraged to allow time to adjust, build confidence, and fully engage in the language immersion experience.

All campers must be fully potty-trained.

An Unforgettable Spanish Learning Experience

Campers participate in an engaging summer program where Spanish is introduced through hands-on science activities, guided food exploration projects, interactive group challenges, and cultural discovery.

Each day is thoughtfully structured to be engaging, age-appropriate, and language-focused—creating an environment where learning happens naturally through participation.

Water-themed outdoor enrichment activities may be incorporated as part of the instructional program.

Open to All – No Spanish Experience Required

Our camps are open to children in the Charleston community regardless of prior language exposure.

Whether new to Spanish or building on existing skills, students develop vocabulary and confidence through meaningful, instructor-guided activities.

Each Camp Is Designed To:

• Introduce new Spanish vocabulary in context
• Support conversational language development
• Provide individualized instructional attention
• Encourage confidence through structured participation

Week 1 | May 26 – May 29

Wild Tracks Adventure

An exciting introduction to Spanish through animals and nature. Children explore jungles, savannahs, and rainforests while learning Spanish in a playful, immersive way.

Spanish Vocabulary Focus:
Wild animals, colors, numbers, action words, habitats

Camp Highlights:

  • Discover wild animals and learn where they live

  • Create animal-inspired crafts and nature art

  • Move, jump, and play animal-themed movement games

  • Enjoy storytelling, songs, and sensory exploration

  • Learn Spanish through hands-on discovery and exploration

Week 2 | June 1 – June 5

Ocean Quest Camp

Dive into Spanish learning through ocean exploration. Campers discover sea life and underwater worlds while building vocabulary naturally through play.

Spanish Vocabulary Focus:
Sea animals, water, colors, directions, nature words

Camp Highlights:

  • Learn about sea animals and ocean habitats

  • Create ocean-inspired art and crafts

  • Explore simple water-based science activities

  • Sing songs and enjoy imaginative ocean games

  • Learn Spanish through art, storytelling, science exploration, and indoor & outdoor play

Week 3 | June 8 – June 12

Junior Chef Spanish Camp

A delicious, hands-on food exploration adventure where Spanish comes to life through interactive culinary experiences.

Spanish Vocabulary Focus:
Food, fruits, vegetables, kitchen tools, numbers, action verbs

Camp Highlights:

  • Learn food vocabulary in Spanish

  • Prepare simple no-cook snack projects

  • Play pretend restaurant and market games

  • Create food-inspired art and crafts

  • Learn Spanish through hands-on food exploration and discovering Latin flavors

Week 4 | June 15 – June 19

The Great Circus Adventure

Step right up for a fun-filled week of Spanish and circus magic. Children explore movement, creativity, and performance while learning new words in context.

Actions, emotions, colors, shapes, performance words

Camp Highlights:

  • Learn action words through movement and games

  • Create colorful circus crafts and costumes

  • Explore balance, coordination, and creative movement

Week 5 | June 22 – June 26

Charleston Art Explorers

Inspired by Charleston’s culture and creativity, this camp blends Spanish with art, architecture, and local inspiration.

Spanish Vocabulary Focus:
Art materials, colors, shapes, places, descriptive words

Camp Highlights:

  • Explore painting, sculpture, and mixed-media art

  • Learn about places, buildings, and community

  • Take inspiration walks and create from nature

  • Enjoy stories connected to art and place

  • Learn Spanish while discovering the beautiful city we live in

Week 6 | June 29 – July 3

Flavors of the Spanish World Camp

Travel through Spanish-speaking countries using traditions, culture, and food exploration as your guide.

Spanish Vocabulary Focus:
Countries, foods, traditions, greetings, cultural words

Camp Highlights:

  • Explore traditional foods and cultural flavors

  • Learn through music, traditions, and celebrations

  • Create cultural crafts and projects

  • Play games inspired by different countries

Week 7 | July 6 – July 10

Fiesta & Art Groove Camp

A high-energy camp combining Spanish with music, dance, rhythm, and creative expression.

Spanish Vocabulary Focus:
Body parts, actions, music, emotions, directions

Camp Highlights:

  • Learn body parts and action words through dance

  • Explore rhythm, music, and instruments

  • Express emotions through movement and play

  • Participate in group performances and games

  • Learn Spanish through music, rhythm, and movement

Week 8 | July 13 – July 17

Designer Color Pop Art Camp

A bold and creative Spanish immersion experience inspired by artists like Romero Britto and other Spanish-speaking artists.

Spanish Vocabulary Focus:
Colors, patterns, emotions, art verbs, descriptive language

Camp Highlights:

  • Explore colors, patterns, and artistic expression

  • Create pop-art and mixed-media projects

  • Work on collaborative murals and designs

  • Express emotions through art and play

  • Learn Spanish through creative expression and art vocabulary

Week 9 | July 20 – July 24

Color, Clay & Canvas Camp

Children explore multiple art forms while building Spanish vocabulary through hands-on creativity.

Spanish Vocabulary Focus:
Textures, materials, shapes, tools, descriptive language

Camp Highlights:

  • Explore clay, paint, textures, and materials

  • Learn shapes, tools, and descriptive words

  • Create sculptures, paintings, and sensory art

Week 10 | July 27 – July 31

Young Inventors Lab

A curiosity-driven camp where science meets Spanish. Children explore experiments and discoveries while naturally building new vocabulary.

Spanish Vocabulary Focus:
Science tools, action verbs, nature, cause-and-effect words

Camp Highlights:

  • Explore simple experiments and discoveries

  • Build and create using everyday materials

  • Observe, test, and problem-solve through play

  • Work together on STEM-inspired challenges

  • Learn Spanish through exploration, action, and discovery


Waiting List Policy

If a specific camp week reaches enrollment capacity, families may add their child to the waiting list. There is no charge to join the waiting list. Payment is only processed if a space becomes available and enrollment is confirmed.

Waitlist placement is determined by the date and time of registration. Openings may occur at any time.

When a space becomes available, families will be contacted in order of the waitlist. Enrollment is confirmed only after written acceptance and payment.

If you wish to remove your child from the waiting list, please notify us so the space may be offered to another family.

Payment Policy

A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your child’s space. The deposit is applied toward the total tuition balance.

All remaining balances for Summer Camp 2026 must be paid in full by April 15, 2026.

Afternoon enrichment session fees are non-refundable after April 15, 2026.

Enrollment may be released if payment deadlines are not met.

Additional Information

• Camp tuition is not prorated for missed days.
• Afternoon enrichment session fees are separate from camp tuition.
• Lowcountry Language Academy reserves the right to make adjustments to camp scheduling or program details if necessary.

Spanish Camp Schedule & Extended Enrichment Options

We understand that summer schedules vary. Our goal is to provide flexible enrollment options while maintaining a structured, language-focused enrichment environment.

Morning Spanish Camp Session

Our core Spanish Enrichment Camp takes place during the morning session and includes all themed instruction, immersive language experiences, and hands-on educational activities.

Optional Afternoon Spanish Enrichment Session

Families may choose to enroll in an additional afternoon enrichment session that continues Spanish language exposure through structured activities and guided engagement.

Afternoon enrichment may include:

  • Spanish games and conversational practice

  • Creative, theme-based projects

  • Movement-based language activities

  • Quiet enrichment activities

Enrollment in afternoon sessions is optional and based on availability.

Registration Notes

  • Morning and afternoon sessions may be registered separately

  • Afternoon enrichment may be added later, based on availability

  • Enrollment is required for participation in any session
