Are you ready to embark on a linguistic discovery and cultural exploration journey this summer? At Lowcountry Language Academy Summer Camps, we believe in making learning Spanish a joyful and enriching experience for campers of all language backgrounds and skill levels.
LLA Spanish Immersion's - half-day camps provide an excellent opportunity for children 3 to 8 years old to be exposed to the Spanish language and culture in a fun, supportive, and positive environment. Every camp is designed to introduce new Spanish vocabulary and develop conversation skills. With an 8:1 counselor ratio, each camper receives individualized attention and a personalized approach. All camps are open to the Charleston Community!
Camp Highlights:
All Levels Welcome: No prior knowledge of Spanish is required to join our camps. We cater to campers of all language backgrounds and proficiency levels, creating a warm and inclusive environment for everyone.
Language Immersion: Our immersive approach ensures that the Spanish language surrounds campers. Activities and games are all conducted in Spanish to create an authentic language-learning environment.
Vocabulary Marvels: Campers will embark on a new vocabulary adventure each week. Through engaging prompts, interactive activities, and hands-on learning, they will explore a world of Spanish words and phrases, building their language skills and cultural awareness.
Fun and Games: Learning Spanish has never been this enjoyable! Campers will participate in various interactive games, cultural activities, and challenges that make language acquisition a breeze.
Cultural Creativity: Our campers will experience the rich tapestry of Spanish-speaking cultures through art, music, and cuisine. They'll create their masterpieces, dance to the rhythm of Hispanic music, and savor Spanish and Latin American cuisine flavors.
Global Perspectives: Beyond the language, campers will gain insights into the diverse countries and regions where Spanish is spoken. They'll explore these vibrant cultures' geography, history, and traditions.
Outdoor Exploration: Our campers will enjoy many water days and spend most of their time outdoors. We guarantee we’ll keep the energy and fun flowing throughout the camp day!

These week-long classes will occur on the LLA's campus from May 28th through June 28th. SPOTS ARE LIMITED!
Waiting List: If the week is at total capacity, you can add your child to a waiting list; you will not be charged until we confirm that you are still interested in that week. Their position will be determined by the order in which the registration was received. Our waitlists are generally fluid as families change their plans and open spaces throughout the year. We admit campers off the waitlist on a first-come, first-served basis, so the earlier you sign up, the better your chances are of getting a spot. If space opens for your camper, we will contact you to verify if you still wish to enroll them. If you choose to withdraw from the waitlist at any point, please contact us as soon as possible. REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE ONLINE ONLY.
Summer Programs Deposit: A $120 non-refundable deposit per week of camp (or session) to secure your camper’s spot. All payments, minus the non-refundable deposit, are fully refundable until April 30, 2024.
Payment: Balances due on all summer programs must be paid in full by May 1st, 2024. Campers who fail to meet this payment deadline risk losing their spot and deposits. There will be no refunds issued after May 1, 2024. Camps cannot be prorated for missed days during a camp week. Lowcountry Language Academy reserves the right to change the details of any camp. WEEK 1; MAY 28TH - MAY31ST THE FARM
Are you ready to embark on an exciting and educational adventure for your little ones this summer? Join us at our Farm and Garden Summer Camp, where campers can discover the fantastic world of farm animals and the joys of growing plants. Kids will get their hands dirty as they learn to plant and nurture their garden. Through creative art activities, children will unleash their inner artist. From crafting plant-themed art to painting pictures of their favorite farm animals, creativity knows no bounds here. Our camp is packed with exciting games, team-building exercises, and physical activities to keep kids active, engaged, and having a blast.! WEEK 2; JUNE 3RD - JUNE 7th JURASSIC PARK
Embark on a Prehistoric Adventure at Our Jurassic Camps! Do your kids have an insatiable curiosity about the incredible world of dinosaurs? Are they fascinated by the giants that once roamed our planet? If so, our Jurassic Camp is the perfect summer experience for them! At Jurassic Camp, young paleontologists will journey back in time to explore the mesmerizing world of dinosaurs. They'll uncover fascinating facts about different types of dinosaurs, their habitats, and the mysteries of their extinction. What's a dinosaur adventure without dino-themed crafts? Campers will have a blast creating their own dinosaur masks, fossils, and other exciting projects that connect art with their newfound paleontological knowledge. Campers will explore the science behind volcanoes, their role in dinosaur extinction, and even create their mini volcanic eruptions – a sure hit among young scientists!. WEEK 3; JUNE 10th JUNE 14th ART CAMP
Welcome to a summer of color, creativity, and endless inspiration! Our Romero Britto Summer Camp is the perfect place for budding artists, to unleash their imaginations and explore the exciting world of pop art through the lens of the renowned artist, Romero Britto. Experience the Vibrant World of Art with Romero Britto Summer Camp! Get ready to dive into the world of Romero Britto, a world filled with bold colors, dynamic shapes, and positive vibes. Campers will explore the life and artistry of this iconic pop artist and discover what makes his work so unique. Our campers will immerse themselves in hands-on art projects inspired by Romero Britto's signature style. From canvas painting to sculpture and even collaborative art pieces, every day is a new adventure in creative expression. Campers will join forces to create a stunning outdoor mural, transforming a plain canvas into a colorful masterpiece that reflects Britto's vibrant and optimistic vision. WEEK 4; JUNE 17th - JUNE 21ST PIRATES OF THE CARIBEAN
Ahoy, Mateys! Set Sail for Pirate Adventures at Our Pirates of the Caribbean Summer Camp! Prepare for an epic journey across the high seas with our Pirates of the Caribbean Summer Camp! Young swashbucklers, will have the adventure of a lifetime as they learn the ways of the pirates, explore the mysteries of the ocean, and indulge in a world of crafts and activities that will shiver their timbers. Campers will step into the shoes of pirates, learning about their history, codes, and legendary tales. They'll even take part in thrilling treasure hunts and treasure map-making adventures! With the wind in their sails, campers will navigate the uncharted waters and discover hidden islands. They'll uncover secrets, solve riddles, and experience the excitement of island survival like true buccaneers. * Every pirate needs a treasure chest! Campers will create their pirate gear, including hats, eye patches, and more. Plus, they'll learn to craft and design their pirate flags, forging their unique mark on the high seas.* Campers will explore marine life and oceanography, understanding the wonders of the deep blue sea. They'll learn about the creatures that call the ocean home and the importance of preserving this magical environment.
WEEK 5; JUNE 24th to JUNE 28TH LA FIESTA EN LA PLAZA
Discover the Flavor of Summer at La Plaza Summer Camp! Prepare for a fun-filled summer of exploration, creativity, and culinary adventures at La Plaza Summer Camp! Our camp is designed for students who want to explore the exciting world of food, culture, shopping, and arts. * Campers will embark on a journey to discover the secrets of diverse cuisines from the Latin world. They'll learn to prepare delicious dishes, understand the importance of nutrition, and embrace a love for cooking. We'll take our young adventurers on shopping trips to La Plaza, where they will have the chance to explore the vibrant marketplace, taste unique ingredients, and discover the joy of picking out fresh, local produce. Creativity knows no bounds at La Plaza Summer Camp. Campers will engage in art and craft activities, drawing inspiration from the vibrant colors, textures, and flavors they encounter at La Plaza.
Camp / Before and After Camp Services
Coordinating summer schedules can be demanding…and you certainly want to ensure your child is happy and well-cared for throughout the day.
Because of this, we are excited to offer Camp Care before and after each registered Camp Session.
Early Camp Care is available from 8:30 - 9:00 am
After Camp Care is available from 12:45 to 2:45 pm
You will be required to pay the fees associated with Camp Care when you register for that care. You do not have to register for a Camp Session and extended Camp Care simultaneously.
